Rhythm Devils Announce Part Two of Summer Tour |
|
Just as summer moves in to full swing and the Rhythm Devils pack up to hit the road, the band announces a hefty number of new dates for late summer. The Rhythm Devils – Bill Kreutzmann and Mickey Hart, the polyrhythmic engine that drove the Grateful Dead for nearly three decades – will make stops throughout the Midwest and Northeast covering some of the territory they’ll miss when out west for their earlier summer shows.
Joining Hart and Kreutzmann in the Rhythm Devils for part two of the tour will be Nigerian talking drum master Sikiru Adepoju, returning from the last RD tour in 2006, Back Door Slam’s Davy Knowles (guitar, vocals) and Andy Hess (bass). The Mother Hips' Tim Bluhm (guitar, vocals) extends his first run as a Devil.
Complete tour details are available at www.rhythmdevils.net or read the full press release here.

SCI's 2010 shows live on iClips |
Coming off of The String Cheese Incident’s huge return to the stage last summer at ROTHBURY, the band will play a handful of select dates in 2010: Colorado’s historic Red Rocks Amphitheatre on July 23rd, 24th and 25th, Horning’s Hideout, outside of Portland, Oregon on July 30th, 31st and August 1st, and Hampton Coliseum during Halloween weekend. Tickets for Red Rocks and Horning’s Hideout sold out in just minutes, and Hampton Coliseum seats are moving quickly.
But there is good news for SCI fans who can’t make it to the shows - iClips has teamed up with The String Cheese Incident to broadcast every show in 2010. Check out www.iclips.net for the full details.

Keller's Thief hits Billboard Charts |
|
We knew right away that Keller Williams' new album, Thief, would be a hit; it's quirky, it's a covers album that touches on diverse genres, and it's Keller doing his thing. But we were excited to find out that only two weeks after the release, Thief hit #28 on the Billboard's Heatseekers Album chart and #1 on the Billboard's Bluegrass Albums chart. Plus, the rave reviews keep pouring in.. My Old Kentucky Blog calls Thief "One helluva good time. One helluva good record" and BLURT says it's "impressive.... a great effort that's bound to bring in a few more fans."
That's what we like to hear. Now get yourself a copy and check out some Keller shows this summer. |
